Pelican Reef 703 Beachfront Penthouse with Ocean and Sunset Views

Excellent view and a great place to stay! They had all the amenities we needed for our family trip. The beach was very nice and secluded. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful stay, at a compact resort. The double unit is outstanding. The views are tremendous. The sunsets were fabulous. We saw a whale one morning. Three designated parking spots is terrific. The grounds are nice, but very compact. It's nice to have direct access to a beach. The beach is small but never crowded. Beautiful sandy beach. The neighborhood is safe, but rundown with collapsed homes from hurricanes and neglect. Very close to some great restaurants. A car is required. Nothing within walking distance. The unit was clean, but could have been cleaner. Plenty of furniture, but older and stained from use. The beds were very comfortable and newer. Everything that you need is provided to enjoy the beach and pool. Our host answered our questions quickly and resolved the few issues that we had. We met other very nice couples who have stayed at this resort multiple times. We would stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

First of all, let me say that our host, Jennifer, was awesome. She was very reliable, and took care of any problems immediately. The condo itself is beautiful and spacious, with 2 large balconies and amazing ocean views. There are also many extra amenities that we were not expecting like beach chairs, towels, coolers, etc So we were very happy with the condo itself. The only problem we had was to get the key you were given instructions that the key was in a drop box on a pole along the entrance. There were 2 poles with drop boxes and many were broken and unlabeled, so we had a little trouble finding ours. I did let Jennifer know and she said she would take care of it. The beach in front of the condo is very rocky, but there is a sidegate that leads to a small beach area that the water is swimmable. The water does start out calm in the am, but the current picks up in the afternoon. The only reason I gave 3 stars to the property nearby is because to the right of the hotel is a partially fallen down house and another collapsed building which is your view when you are out in the water. There also is not really a way to walk along the beach which we normally like to do. So if you are looking for a quiet more secluded beach, then this is for you. If your looking for one that is more active, with lots of nearby activities, then this probably is not the place. So all in all, we really enjoyed our stay, except the water is not the Caribbean blue that we were expecting
